When Plan Coverage Starts and Ends

Plan Coverage starts with your purchase date and 0 miles and continues from the time or mileage (whichever occurs first) as specified by the terms of the agreement. Your application is subject to verification by the plan administrator.

What is Covered

This agreement provides coverage so comprehensive that only the following items are not covered: Maintenance services, wheel balance and alignment, batteries and cables, spark plugs and wires, catalytic converter, thermostat, belts and hoses, fluids (unless required with a covered repair), wiper blades, lubricants and filters (unless required with a covered repair), shock absorbers, struts, manual and hydraulic clutch assembly, distributor cap and rotor: constant velocity joint boots, safety restraint systems, air bags, glass, lenses, sealed beams, light bulbs, brake rotors and drums, exhaust systems, weather strips, trim, moldings, bright metal, chrome, upholstery, carpet, paint, outside ornamentation, bumpers, body sheet metal and panels, tires, wheels and rims, options not installed by the factory, and physical damage.

 Below are listed many of the covered components next to the major assembly they are typically associated with.

Engine System

Cylinder block; cylinder heads; turbocharger; supercharger; harmonic balancer; timing gear and chain; timing cover; timing belt; intake valve; exhaust valve; intake and exhaust manifolds; valve covers; oil pan; rocker arm; cam shaft; oil pump; connecting rod; engine mounts and more. The repair of values or rings, if the purpose is to raise the engine's compression, is not covered.

Drive Axle(s) System

Drive axle housing and all internal lubricated parts; drive shafts; universal joints; axle bearings; limited slip unit and more. Constant velocity joints are covered unless failure was caused by neglect, torn, cracked or perforated constant velocity joint boots.

Transmission/ Transfer Case

Transmission/transfer case and all internal lubricated parts including: torque converter, input and output shaft, bearings, drive gears and synchronizers; flex plate; transmission mounts and more.

AC/Heating System

(Includes only Compressor; compressor clutch and pulley; condenser; drier; evaporator expansion valve; heater core; accumulator; temperature control programmer and more.

Fuel/ Engine Management

Fuel delivery pump; fuel injectors; fuel tank; metal fuel delivery lines; idle speed motor; manifold pressure, manifold temperature, throttle position, mass air flow, oxygen, coolant temperature, vehicle speed, camshaft and crankshaft angle sensors; primary fuel injection computer; air control valve; ECU and more.

Steering System

Steering gear box or rack and all internal lubricated parts; steering column shaft and couplings; power steering pump; power steering cylinder; tie rod ends and more.

Suspension System

Control arms; control arm shafts, bearings and bushings; radius arm; radius arm bushing; stabilizer bar; stabilizer link; stabilizer bushing; spindle; spindle support; wheel bearings; ball joints; springs and more.

 Brake System

Master Cylinder, booster; disc brake calipers; wheel cylinders; ABS; hydraulic lines; proportioning valve and more.

Cooling System

Water pump; fan blade; fan clutch; engine oil cooler; coolant recovery tank; fan shroud; cooling fan motor and more.

Electrical System

Alternator; voltage regulator; ignition module; ignition coil; distributor (does not include cap or rotor); starter motor; starter solenoid; starter drive; power seat motor, antennae motor, window motors and windshield wiper motors; wiring harness; switches; factory installed theft deterrent system; instruments and  more.

Seal and Gaskets

This is covered on any non-excluded part.

Interior/ Exterior mechanical

Window Regulator; door locks; seat adjusters; hinges; latches; ignition lock cylinder; locks and more.

 

Plan Features for both New and Pre-Owned Service Agreements

Choice of Deductibles - $50 or $100 You pay only your selected deductible for a covered breakdown.

Rental Allowance- Your agreement reimburses you for a rental car ($30/day) if your vehicle has to be towed in for a covered mechanical breakdown.

Transferable- Your contract can be transferred to a subsequent owner if you sell your vehicle. This increases the resale value of your vehicle.

Nationwide Coverage - If your vehicle breaks down while you're away from home your repair facility can be paid with our corporate credit card. Just call our toll free number before repairs are started.

Roadside Assistance - Reimbursement for or assistance with changing a flat tire, locksmith services, a dead battery jump start, or emergency gas and fluids.

Trip Interruption- You will be reimbursed up to $75 a day for meals/ lodging if a covered mechanical breakdown leaves you stranded more than 100 miles from home.

 

 

Pre-Owned Vehicle Service Agreement

When Plan Coverage Starts and Ends

Plan Coverage starts with your purchase date and 0 miles and continues from the time or mileage (whichever occurs first) as specified by the terms of the agreement. Your application is subject to verification by the plan administrator.

What is Covered

Listed below are the covered components next to the major assembly they are typically associated with. All parts not specifically listed as Covered Parts are not covered under this Contract. These include but are not limited to: brake linings, pads, drums and rotors, oil, grease, coolant, air conditioner refrigerant, filters, belts, hoses, batteries, battery cables, tires, constant velocity joint boots, spark plug wires, distributor cap and rotor; and manual/hydraulic clutch assembly. Normal maintenance items/repairs such as engine tune-ups and front end alignments are not covered. Adjustments to Covered Parts are not covered.

Engine System

Cylinder block and heads and all internal Lubricated Parts; harmonic balancer; turbocharger; supercharger; harmonic balancer; timing gear and chain; timing cover; timing belt; intake valve; exhaust valve; intake and exhaust manifolds; valve covers; oil pan; and engine mounts. Loss of compression through gradual failure of rings or valves is not covered.  

Transmission

Transmission case and all internal lubricated parts including: torque converter, input and output shaft, bearings, drive gears and synchronizers; flex plate; transmission mounts and more.

Drive Axles

Drive axle housing and all internal Lubricated Parts; drive shafts;  universal joints; and constant velocity joints unless failure was cause by neglected, torn, cracked or perforated constant velocity joints unless failure was cause by neglected, torn, cracked or perforated constant velocity joint boot. Constant velocity joint boots are not covered under any circumstances.

Transfer Case

Transfer case and all internal Lubricated Parts

 AC/Heating

(Includes only factory or dealer installed equipment) Condenser; compressor; compressor clutch; compressor pulley; evaporator; heater control valve; and HVAC control head.

Suspension System

Control arms; control arm shafts, bearings and bushings; radius arm; radius arm bushing; stabilizer bar; stabilizer link; stabilizer bushing; spindle; wheel bearings; and torsion bars.

Steering System

Steering gear box or rack and all internal lubricated parts; steering column shaft and couplings; power steering pump; steering column shaft; and steering column shaft couplings.

Cooling System

Water pump; engine cooling fan motor; radiator fan; and radiator fan clutch.

Fuel System

Fuel delivery pump; fuel injectors; fuel pressure regulator; fuel sending unit; fuel gauge; metal fuel delivery lines; and fuel tank.

Brakes

Anti-lock brake system (ABS) accumulator, control module, pump, motor, reservoir, and wheel speed sensors; master cylinder; power brake cylinder; vacuum assist booster; vacuum brake booster pump; compensating valve; disc brake calipers; wheel cylinders; hydraulic lines; and hydraulic line fittings.

Electrical System

Alternator; generator; voltage regulator; ignition module; ignition coil; pole pieces; starter motor; starter solenoid; windshield wiper motor/delay and switch; dome light switch; external mirror switch; head light/ fog light switch; ignition lock cylinder switch; rear defroster switch; switch; turn signal switch; and wiring harness.

Seal and Gaskets

(Seals and Gaskets coverage included only if your vehicle's odometer reads less than 80,000 miles on contract purchase date.) Leaking seals and gaskets on any covered part listed above. Minor loss of fluid or seepage is considered normal and is not considered a Mechanical Breakdown.

High Tech

Power seat motor and switch; power antennae motor; power window motor and switch; sunroof motor and switch; convertible top motor and switch; driver info gauges/indicators relating to the operation of the vehicle (burned out lights/bulbs/lamps not covered); body control module; cruise control module, servo/transducer and switch; idle speed motor; manifold pressure, manifold temperature, throttle position, mass air flow, oxygen, coolant temperature, vehicle speed, camshaft, and crankshaft angle sensors; and primary fuel injection computer.
